In this webinar we discuss the potential land-use related regulatory risks arising from the development of recent regulatory frameworks which investors in the land use space should be aware of, including examples from both the EU and Brazil. Satu Glaser (Senior Programme Officer at UNEP-WCMC) discussed the upcoming EU Deforestation legislation, Fernanda Gimenes (Engagement Manager for IFACC, World Economic Forum) gave an overview of the evolving country-level regulatory and voluntary disclosure landscape for high-risk commodities, focusing on Brazil, and finally Romie Goedicke (Project and Technical Manager Nature at UNEP-FI) discussed how the development of the TNFD framework will influence the regulatory framework into the future.

    In this webinar we discuss the financial landscape around climate adaptation in the context of land use finance, including three great case studies from projects which are making this a reality. Stuart Beavis discusses the Mekong Delta Integrated Rice and Aquaculture Bankable Project, which has developed a novel model to combine rice and shrimp production. Marie Andrée Liere discusses how the Landscape Resilience Fund uses a blended finance approach to create scalable ways to finance sustainable adaptation solutions. Sophie Trémolet from TNC gives an overview of the Wendling Beck Environment Project, where a collaboration of landowners, local government and non-governmental organisations have come together to transform 784 hectares of farmland through biodiversity restoration, creation and enhancement.
