These are the five priority impact areas in which sustainable land-use investments can demonstrate positive environmental and social impacts. You may have an area in which you are particularly interested in demonstrating impacts – if so select it here. We will only show KPIs relevant for the impact areas which you select.

It is likely that investments will contribute to more than one impact area. For example, activities relating to forest ecosystems may contribute to Forests, Biodiversity and Climate Mitigation.

Does your organization have the capacity to access and use accurate spatial data? 3 of 5
  • Why are you asking me this? Some KPIs will require you to have spatial data available and capacity to use it. If you select “No” in response to this question, we will only recommend KPIs which do not require this information.

Does your organization have the capacity to develop project specific criteria? 4 of 5
  • Why are you asking me this? Some indicators may need impact criteria to be defined on a project level, as opposed to a portfolio level. Terms that may require project-specific criteria include identifying what constitutes as ‘sustainable management‘ and ’restoration‘ for that given activity and geography. The exact requirements will differ between projects but will likely incorporate setting a threshold compared to Business as Usual. Tick yes here if you are able to give this level of specificity.

Does your organization have the capacity to conduct on the ground verification? 5 of 5
  • Why are you asking me this? A number of KPIs are able to draw upon globally available screening datasets. Others, however, will require on-the-ground verification. If you select ‘no’ here, you will only be shown KPIs where on-the-ground verification is not needed.
