    The ESKEN webinar ‘Leveraging existing and emerging technologies for biodiversity monitoring in land-use investments’ was held on September 14th, 2023. It started with an introductory presentation covering the data value chain from data collection to sharing, as well as technological developments across each step. A panel discussion followed, focused on how both remote-sensing and novel technologies can be used by financial actors to account for risks and positive impacts in land use projects, in order to improve transparency and efficiency, connect local communities to sources of information, and support claims’ credibility.
